Over the last three weeks, two walk-in clinics have announced plans to close while a third one will be pivoting to a 'doctor-of-the-day' model. This will leave thousands of patients of patients orphaned in a region with only one doctor for every 550 patients.

Sameh Yassa, an Ontario pharmacist and designated manager, committed serious offences, given the high risk that methadone poses to patients and to the public, said the Ontario College of Pharmacists’ discipline committee.
