I don’t need to say too much about how I feel about LHINs, emerging as they did during my term as Health Minister of Ontario. Like all the other models of regionally based funding bodies that we have seen from across Canada, they are imperfect and subject to lots of criticism. But what LHINs have done is enable the ministry itself to shrink. Dramatically.
