Tech Talk: A Guide for Improving Care for Patients with ADHD
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders, affecting both children and adults. In Canada, the prevalence of ADHD has been steadily increasing. While medications remain the cornerstone of treatment, effective management of ADHD also requires understanding its multifaceted nature, elements of which require psychosocial interventions and lifestyle support. Pharmacy technicians, as key membersof the healthcare team, play a crucial role in supporting patients with ADHD by ensuring proper medication management, educating patients, and collaborating with pharmacists and healthcare providers to optimize treatment outcomes.
