ASA, statins often not offered to hospitalized COPD patients
Nearly half of hospitalized chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients who are at risk of heart disease events are not prescribed ASA, and two-thirds of these patients are not prescribed statins on discharge, researchers found in a survey of British hospitals.
