Just the fax, ma’am
My solo GP practice was supported by the basic fundamentals of electronic facilitation. Billing, of course, reconciliation, appointment scheduling but, not EMR. Lab requisitioning, imaging both at community clinics as well as hospitals, the full spectrum of speciality and interventional procedures and medical and surgical referrals were all done using FAX.

How e-prescribing has helped me find balance between in-person and virtual care

Dr. Soreya Dhanji started using PrescribeIT, Canada Health Infoway’s e-prescribing tool, when the pandemic began and finds when pharmacists have questions it is so much easier having the questions come right into her EMR.
Never give up trying the change the system
