Doctors across the country could feel the sting of rising Canadian Medical Protective Association fees next year–especially in those provinces outside of Quebec and Ontario.

The annual statistical report from Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Health found the average ophthalmologist in the province was paid $1.02 million last year from Medical Services Plan alone, the CBC said.
