Alberta Health Services says in a news release that with respiratory viruses surging in the community, Alberta Children's Hospital is seeing “sustained high volumes of acutely ill patients.''
In documents filed in the B.C. Supreme Court Thursday, the commission alleges the LifePlus program is breaking the law by charging for services covered under the medical services plan.
The testing, which is part of the APPROACH study, will allow some pharmacies in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Alberta to test for HIV, hepatitis C and syphilis.
