According to a survey from Diabetes Care Community almost 60% of people felt that their diabetes impacted their emotional well-being at least some of the time.
A recent report warned of the considerable adverse effects of loneliness and social isolation—comparing it to other leading risk factors for premature death such as smoking, obesity, elevated blood pressure and high cholesterol.
The students, Harneet Gill, Nursan Abdullah, and Nina Seuntjens, won the award for the University of Toronto’s pharmacy 2023 Business Plan Competition for their idea.
