Melinda Schnalzer

Melinda graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Pharmacy in 1991. After a Hospital Pharmacy Residency at Women’s College Hospital, she started her career at Scarborough Grace hospital. In 2000, she moved her work closer to her home, and is a pharmacist at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. She has special interests in infectious disease, critical care, education and ethics. She is a preceptor for the SPEP (Structured Practical Experience Program) of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, and has taught for Humber and Sheridan Colleges in the bridging programs for Pharmacy Technicians. She holds a Master of Health Science Degree in Bioethics from the Joint Centre for Bioethics, University of Toronto. During her non-hospital time, Melinda can be found making changes in her garden and her home, reading, and dabbling in art and music. She lives in an old house with her husband and 3 daughters.
