Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the clinical and operational drivers for transitioning eligible oncology therapies from intravenous (IV) infusion to subcutaneous (SC) administration. 
2. Evaluate the impact of SC oncology therapies on oncology clinic capacity and patient flow, including opportunities to optimize chair utilization and treatment throughput.
3. Apply quality improvement frameworks and key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of SC therapy implementation, including chair-time savings, resource utilization, and patient experience.
4. Identify pharmacy practice considerations for the safe preparation, handling, storage, and administration of SC oncology therapies.
5. Develop an implementation strategy for SC oncology therapies that addresses workflow redesign and stakeholder engagement, and operational challenges within their institution.
