There have been vast advancements in oncology care over the last decade, including new therapeutic treatments, as well as new equipment and devices available to increase chemotherapy preparation quality and employee and patient safety. Pharmacy technicians are well suited to practise in advanced roles within oncology care and can have an overall positive impact on patient care.
