To improve overall access to health care and empower patients, advances in technology have created point-of-care testing (POCT) tools, that provide simple, fast and accurate clinical results within minutes. The accessibility of pharmacists, combined with their therapeutic knowledge means they are ideally positioned to provide and expand healthcare services provided to patients. POCT provides pharmacists with a tool to make customized decisions based on clinical data, which allows them to provide a higher caliber of care to patients.
