Screen-capped: A physician's guide to navigating the screen-time debate
In a Medical Post survey from last spring, 61% of the 588 Canadian family physicians, pediatricians and psychiatrists polled said their patients had asked them how much screen time was healthy. While a clear answer has been elusive (studies have yet to determine an obvious threshold after which spending time in front of a screen becomes harmful), almost every one of those doctors surveyed (98%) agreed that children under 12 in particular are spending "too much time" looking at screens.
