A new study from Statistics Canada looked at Black mortality rates in Canada. It’s the first national study to look at mortality for a variety of causes for Black adults in Canada.
A team of medical and genetics specialists associated with the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean health authority recently added 11 rare diseases or conditions to the list of 14 that had already been identified as occurring more frequently in the region than elsewhere in the world.
On Tuesday the association released a policy paper following consultations with federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos, provincial and territorial dental associations and dentists from across Canada.
