Women in need in Toronto will soon get free pads and tampons from Shoppers Drug Mart

It is expected to take three years to merge the businesses across some 100 countries

But some pharmacists are concerned the move could put smaller, independent pharmacies at a significant disadvantage

Kimberly-Clark is recalling regular absorbency U by Kotex Sleek tampons in Canada and the United States after reports of the tampons coming apart upon removal.

Consumers are being warned to avoid inhaling talcum powder or using the products on female genitals, as exposure may cause potentially serious respiratory effects and possibly ovarian cancer.
