The University Health Network in Toronto has opened a 24-hour stand-alone clinic which has resulted in dramatic improvements in ambulance offload times and freed-up beds at the hospital's emergency department.
But not all pharmacists will be able to offer the service immediately, with some requiring additional time to prepare and ramp up the necessary infrastructure.
The one thing that I would like to accomplish in my career is to help create a pathway for pharmacy technicians to leverage their skills and experience so they too can attain positions in leadership.
