Dr. Neil Skjodt had conducted several sensitive examinations on three patients but had failed to adequately explain why the exams were being done, leaving the patients feeling vulnerable.
The agency says the recall covers Seasonale Tablets made by Teva Canada with 0.03 milligrams of ethinylestradiol and 0.15 milligrams of levonorgestrel.
The Canadian Press spoke to several patients who described traumatic experiences with the doctor while under her care during labour and invasive procedures including biopsies and contraception insertions.
