H1N1 vaccine safe for kidney recipients
The adjuvant-containing vaccine against pandemic H1N1 influenza appears to be safe, but fewer than one-third of kidney transplant recipients showed seroprotective antibody titres following vaccination. Furthermore, the patients who received their transplants less than a year before their flu shot and those on triple immunosuppression showed the poorest response.
