The Health Employers Association of British Columbia said Tuesday that the attack was on three websites it hosts.

The BioScript Pharmacy in Saskatoon serves approximately 5,000 patients across the province and is staffed by five pharmacists, 11 pharmacy assistants and two licensed technicians.

The new fee program at the Marda Loop Medical Clinic was to start today, but Alberta Health spokesman Scott Johnston says the clinic has told the government it won’t proceed.

The clinic, which doesn’t accept insurance, launched last fall with a focus on text message-based consultations. Those remain available in 34 states.

The province issued a statement from Health Minister Adriana LaGrange saying: ‘Should any clinic proceed with the membership fee structure or offer accelerated access to a family physician, an investigation will be conducted.’

The college is also eliminating certain fees for residents who ‘provide additional services at Ontario hospitals.’

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan, which is conducting its own investigation, alerted police to the suspected fraud.
