It found the mouthwash can eradicate the virus within 30 seconds of being exposed to it in a laboratory setting. The initial results come ahead of a clinical trial which is set to test whether over-the-counter mouthwash could reduce levels of COVID-19 in a patient's saliva. -
Alberta considering shorter quarantines for healthcare workers with potential COVID-19 exposure
Currently, hospital staff including physicians and nurse aides must quarantine for 14 days after potential exposure to the virus. But Alberta's hospitals are doing their best to function with staffing shortages, with some hospitals having to close beds.
