More than 1,000 family doctors have so far signed onto British Columbia’s new compensation model, the health minister said as the plan came into effect Wednesday.
Lead author and Ottawa Hospital family physician Dr. Daniel Myran said the data, collected between March 2020 and May 2021, also show a 6% increase in hospitalizations.
After the change, set to take place next month, pharmacists will only need to check the CPSM registered members list to confirm two pieces of information.
