I used to colour-code my charts by year and alphabet to make it easier for my secretary to file things. It also made it almost impossible to misfile a chart and lose everything—a disaster, as anyone who has lost a chart knows. This was before the electronic office, of course. There are still 30% of you stuck with paper, so this will apply to you. For the rest, it may make you want to go back to paper.
