Despite repeated calls to his clinic, Nova Scotia family physician Dr. Venkata Puppala never discussed the results of the CT scan with the patient—who is autistic—or the patient's mother. About a year after the scan, another doctor delivered a diagnosis of stage 4 lymphoma.
