The Pharmacy Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (PANL) has released a report — The Pharmacist Option: Leveraging Newfoundland and Labrador’s Pharmacists for Cost-Effective Health Care Delivery — that says broadening pharmacists’ scope of practice in key areas could save taxpayers about $165 million.
The growth in the overall supply of pharmacists continues to outpace Canadian population growth, according to a new report from the the Canadian Institute of Health Information (CIHI).
