A company once owned by Martin Shkreli will pay up to $40 million to settle allegations that it jacked up the price of a life-saving medication by roughly 4,000%.
Doctors Manitoba, which represents 4,000 physicians across the province, says the backlog of surgeries and diagnostic tests has grown to more than 52,000 cases.
Residents who are 50 years or older are now eligible for a third dose, as are people 18 years and older living in the far north or on First Nation communities, and all healthcare workers.
