Toronto GP Dr. Zoltan Peter Rona has agreed to resign and never again apply to practise medicine in Ontario or in any other jurisdiction, according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
The government knew that by signing advanced purchase agreements with a number of pharmaceutical companies there was a risk it may end up buying more COVID-19 vaccines than Canadians needed.
Red Cross spokesperson Leianne Musselman said the organization will provide "small teams'' to support hospital staff and allow them to focus on clinical tasks.
