The College of Family Physicians of Canada has updated its initial pandemic survey to highlight how family doctors are being affected a year later.

Prof. Maude Laberge says rapid COVID-19 tests should be as easy for the public to get their hands on as a pregnancy test.

A Wednesday report from the Financial Accountability Office found health spending was $691 million lower than planned in the area of population and public health because the province didn't spend funds from the pandemic program.

The system takes effect on Wednesday next week, requiring patrons to show proof of full vaccination and a piece of ID to enter settings that include restaurants, theatres and gyms.

The CSHP joins the Canadian Pharmacists Association in calling for the mandate, the latter having made a similar statement at the beginning of August.
