The new measures come as public health officials around the world warn of the potentially dangerous new Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students and interns gave more than 5.4 million flu shots in 2020-21, and at least 9.3 million COVID-19 vaccinations over the same period.
