Frank Archer started his professional experience as a pharmacy bicycle delivery boy, graduated from the UBC faculty of pharmacy, and then returned to his boyhood place of work, this time as a staff pharmacist. He managed a dispensary in the two-pharmacy chain and became a part-owner, as well as CEO of the B.C. Pharmacists Society (now BCPhA). Frank was intimately involved in the establishment of the B.C. Pharmacare Program, and managed a private prescription drug program. He is now doing consulting work and tutoring first-year medical students in biomedical ethics.
