Healthcare doesn’t just evolve on its own—it is pushed forward by the grit, creativity and advocacy of physicians, perhaps like you! Whether you’re championing a new model of care or using your voice to impact public policy, your contributions deserve more than just a “thank you.” They deserve the spotlight.

The Medical Post Awards are back for 2026. We are looking for the trailblazers shaping the future of medicine in Canada.

Why enter (or nominate)?

This is your opportunity to share your story with the wider medical community. Winners will be celebrated this fall and featured in the November issue of the Medical Post magazine, providing a national platform for the innovations and advocacy work that often happen behind closed doors.

You can self-nominate but it is great when you think of a colleague who merits one of these awards. Especially give a thought to the two new categories we have this year: Resilience and Mentorship.

Nominations consist of two required items and an option of including supporting documents:

  1. Nomination letter: It should focus on three areas: Innovation, Impact and Contribution.

  2. A CV/resume or bio if not available— should be, ideally, under 5 pages

  3. (Optional) Supporting documents.
