Although the number of Canadians diagnosed with COPD is high (2 million), it is estimated that an additional one million with COPD are undiagnosed and untreated. Unlike many other conditions, the prevalence of COPD is increasing and pharmacists are ideally positioned to support people with COPD with the current evidence-based treatment recommendations.
