Hi-School Pharmacy

Larissa was a 21-year-old Canadian college student recovering from COVID-19 when she died from complications related to an accidental overdose of acetaminophen, a medication in probably every drug store and most medicine cabinets in the country.

The University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy will now offer period products to faculty, students and staff in their bathrooms. 

Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy is going to use ChatGPT in a course for pharmacists and pharmacy students.

Pharmacy students have multiple classes affected.

The young leaders in pharmacy must be well represented in the science, education, and practice settings and be willing to shoulder responsibilities from time to time when called upon at both local and international forums.

“I knew I wanted to try different things in the pharmacy profession, so I decided, if I have this opportunity to work with pharmacy students, I want to do it. There was no question about it.”

The Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table collaborated with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo to create the resource.
