The Medical Post Awards are officially back for 2026, and we are looking for the trailblazers shaping the future of medicine in Canada.

2026 award categories
We sunsetted a couple of awards so that we have the opportunity to expand our categories this year to reflect the evolving challenges and triumphs of modern practice:
- Media Engagement Awards: Recognizing the Changemakers, Trailblazers and Learners who use media to advocate for health equity and professional standards.
- Innovative Practice Award: For those rethinking how medicine is delivered.
- Interprofessional Team Award: Celebrating the power of collaborative care.
- Resilient Practice Award (NEW): Honours a physician who has successfully restructured their clinic or practice to prioritize well-being and prevent burnout.
- ‘Next-Gen’ Mentorship Award (NEW): Recognizes an establish physician who has gone above and beyond to guide the next generation of medical students and residents.
